Great class - very bad sound. I loved this class. I would have enjoyed it more if the sound matched the actions of the presenter. His voice was way behind his mouth.

Marionette Manipulation Class review. I found the class very informative and I enjoyed the way the class was conducted.The Tanglewood crew did a very good job of explaining things and getting things going.I was a tiny bit disapointed in the camera work though would have liked to see a bit more of the whole class instead of focusing mostly on the floor but all in all I still enjoyed it.Look forward to the next class.

Great information to start performing and filming for TV. Would live to have been in the room! The class was so much fun and was very informative. At points, difficult to hear, but puppets can be a little chaotic, so it is understandable. Certainly didn't take away from the excellent information and training being passed along.

My thoughts. I thought it was a great overview of the areas involved in Stop Motion, especially having very little digital experience. It was done very quickly and hard to take down his comments for notes. I captured some with screen shots of the slides so I got the resources listed, but others who might now have MAC may have missed some info as it was presented so quickly but thought it was very informative.

Informative and Fun!. Ms. Rollins is a wealth of information on a very unique yet dying art form. She is very passionate and inspiring, and while very scholarly, she passes on her knowledge freely and clearly. Making my own mock up at the end was fun and made it more memorable!

Who knew a passion for shadows could be so much fun!. The instructor successfully integrated the web audience in with the live audience giving both equal time as well as being willing to answer every question in great detail. The links provided show a deep love for Chinese shadow puppetry as well as great learning resources for educators to use with students when teaching about Chinese storytelling.

great webinar on Chinese Shadow puppetry. It was a very informative and valuable learning experience. The presenter was excellent and knowledgeable. Much inspired to create shadow puppets and learn more about Chinese shadow puppetry.

Fun. It would probably be prohibitive, but it would be nice to have an online only section of this class. I enjoyed the tips and tricks and loved the sharing of resources. It was nice to network with other puppeteers.

Need your own Marionette . I followed along at home with my own marionettes. Mine were eight string while theirs were 12 so I could not do everything. I realize that the course offered is a package that the Tanglewood Couple offer and it follows a pretty rigid format. I got the feeling that they forgot that some of were out in cyberspace. Having my own marionettes was crucial and I think should be mentioned to people watching on the internet. I would like to have seen more types of controls. Not all puppeteers use the same setup. I was hoping to acquire a little more information on controls other than the airplane. Perhaps that could be the topic of another course. Overall I enjoyed it very much. I would have totally bored if I did not have my own marionettes at hand. I particularly gained an new insight into the centre of balance for a marionette and how to mimic real human movements. I wished that I had elbow controls so that I could have done the pushup a little better.
